Scotland Castles and Wildflower Seeds

Scotland Castles and Wildflower Seeds

If there's one land of castles I've always been interested about – it is Scotland.

Though many are known only trough historical records, there have been well over two thousand castles in Scotland. The first castles were built in Scotland in the 11th and 12th centuries.

Of course, no castle would be complete without flower gardens. People in the old days planted flowers and wildflower seeds around castles. Today, these flower gardens have certainly added to the beauty of old castles, may they be still standing or already left in ruins.

For travelers these days, those old castles in Scotland have been turned into self-catering accommodations. I think it is very romantic to stay in castle hotels in Scotland. For example, Barcaldine Castle.

Barcaldine Castle was restored in 1897 to become a home again. Today (after further sensitive refurbishments) you can have a comfortable stay at Barcaldine Castle for bed and breakfast or your wedding venue.
